The Fort St. James Humane Society is a non-profit organization just recently established in Fort St. James. FSJHS's goal is to provide medical assistance, shelter and rehabilitation to injured, abused and/or abandoned animals through foster care until adoption; to provide humane animal control within the surrounding reservations by providing spay/neutering and inoculation programs, in order to reduce the number of dogs, dog attacks, dog bites, dog shootouts and deaths of First Nation residents.

If you are in the Fort St. James area and would like to adopt a dog or cat, these are the following dogs and cats available at this time:
